Peter completed his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, in 2018. He is CORU registered and a practising member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists with almost 8 years of clinical experience across Ireland and the UK. He recently completed his Doctoral degree at the now-named Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo. Peter also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science & Physiology and Health Promotion from the Institute of Technology (IT) Sligo.

Peter has a strong interest in sports medicine and has a depth of experience working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, both in clinical settings and with various sports clubs. He has a specialist interest in treating sports injuries in adults and adolescents. A strong advocate of evidence-based practice, he applies his research expertise to critically appraise current literature and deliver up-to-date, effective physiotherapy.

A large portion of Peter’s practice focuses on the treatment of shoulder pain and neck and back pain. He enjoys helping patients return to pain-free movement and daily activities through a combination of education, manual therapy and exercise prescription. Throughout his academic career, Peter received multiple awards and scholarships in recognition of his research achievements. He has worked as an Assistant Lecturer and remains actively involved in research through his current role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ATU Sligo.

Peter views pain as a complex experience influenced by more than physical factors alone. He is passionate about empowering individuals to take an active role in their recovery, supporting them in becoming more physically active and improving their overall quality of life.
